A working day at a simulated Indian company

A job simulation puts you in a junior engineering or data role for a few weeks of short working days. You clock in and out, get a skills check and a learning plan from your manager, work on projects, and keep a work pack at the end. It is practice, set in invented companies in real industrial areas, with Indian standards, rupees and names.

How a simulated day goes

  1. Step 1

    Clock in

Your day starts at a desk. You clock in, read your messages and see what your manager needs today.

  2. Step 2

    Skills check and learning plan

Early on, your manager asks how well you know the skills the job needs, checks a few of them, and gives you a short learning plan. At the end you check again, so you can see what moved.

  3. Step 3

    Projects

The work is organised in projects with a client, a brief and deliverables, such as a drawing, a test record or a report. You hand them in and get feedback.

  4. Step 4

    Clock out

You log off when your time is up. A day is built for 30 to 45 minutes, so it fits around classes or a job. Your hours are on a timesheet.

  5. Step 5

    A work pack you keep

Everything you handed in, your timesheet, your skills before and after and your manager's letter come together as a PDF you can download, with your files in a zip.

Each simulation has up to 20 working days. You can do one day at a time, or several in one sitting. Your manager, your colleagues and the client are AI colleagues, and their portraits are AI-generated. The manager's letter at the end is written by AI from your results, and it says so.

Included with the paid programmes

There is no separate fee for job simulations. When you join the AEP, PGDIA or EPGDIA or the AIP, the simulations that suit your programme open in your student portal. Each one is marked with the point in the course after which it helps most. That is advice, not a lock: you can start any of yours at any time. They are optional practice and do not change your programme certificate.

What this is not

  • It is not a real job or work experience. The companies are simulated and nobody is employed.
  • It is not a placement, and finishing one does not promise an interview or an offer. It gives you a working week to talk about.
  • It does not replace the classroom, the lab or a trainer. It is practice between and after them.
  • It is not recognised by any university or government body. A finished simulation has its own certificate with a public verification page, and nothing more is claimed for it.
  • It cannot teach what needs your hands, such as wiring a panel or working on live equipment. The lab and the centre do that.
  • The colleagues are AI. They can be wrong, like a real colleague, so check what matters against your notes and your trainer.
