1. Agreement

These terms govern your enrolment on the Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Automation ("EPGDIA"), a course delivered by EDWartens. By signing, you enter into a binding agreement with Wartens Automation Private Limited. Our Privacy Notice forms part of this agreement and is signed separately. The job assurance (placement support) is set out in full in section 9.

Eligibility. You confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. EDWartens does not enrol students under 18. The course is intended for: Graduates and diploma holders in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, mechanical or mechatronics engineering, and B.Sc graduates in related subjects, including final-year students and working professionals. You need a computer that can run the course software and a reliable internet connection. You can enrol and pay online, or talk to admissions first.

2. The course

EPGDIA runs for 4 weeks. It has 24 live online class days, held Monday to Saturday, for 4 hours per day, live online, through the class link in your student portal. Alongside the live online class days you complete online self-study modules in the student portal, set week by week; they are part of the course, not an optional extra.

Each week ends with a supervised test, sat online under your trainer's supervision, with your camera on. The pass mark is 70% for the weekly tests of weeks 1 to 3, and each may be attempted twice, at least 72 hours apart. Week 4 ends in the final exam on the last live online class day: a theory paper with a pass mark of 75%, together with a Siemens practical, a Delta practical and a viva on your own projects, assessed by your trainer. The theory paper is sat once; if you do not pass it, speak to your trainer about a further sitting.

You provide a laptop or desktop able to run the course software, a working camera and microphone, and an internet connection good enough for a live video class. The labs are done in virtual environments (simulators) installed on your computer; the software checklist in the portal lists them, and installing them before day 1 is your responsibility.

We may make reasonable changes to the schedule, trainer, classroom, or the order of modules. Where a change is material we will tell you in advance. Your training calendar in the student portal is the authoritative schedule. It accounts for Sundays and published institute holidays: a holiday moves the remaining live online class days on, so you still receive all 24 of them.

3. Fees and payment

  • The course fee for EPGDIA is ₹24,000 including GST.
  • The fee payable by you: after any offer, scholarship or concession agreed with your admission counsellor: is the amount recorded in your enrolment record and shown in your student portal, and that amount governs.
  • The fee is paid in full before the course starts. EPGDIA has no instalment plan.
  • Your fee and the amount paid are visible to you at all times in the portal. Every payment is receipted.
  • Refunds. If you withdraw by written notice before the course starts (before the first live online class day of your batch), the fee you paid is refunded in full. Once the course has started, the fee is not refundable, whatever the reason for leaving, and the job assurance in section 9 does not include a refund.

4. Attendance: please read carefully

Attendance is a condition of your enrolment, of your certificate (section 8) and of your eligibility for placement (section 9).

(a) Recording. For live online class days you must join the class through the student portal, check in at the start and check out at the end, and keep your camera on while the trainer is teaching or examining. Your trainer confirms the session record; the trainer's confirmed record is authoritative. For self-paced online modules, attendance is recorded when you complete the module.

(b) Absence. An absence is any scheduled live online class day on which you are not recorded present, and for which you do not have the management's permission.

(c) No leave. EPGDIA is a short, four-week course, so it carries no leave allowance. If you must miss a live online class day, you need the management's permission, asked for in advance (or, in an emergency, as soon as you can). A day missed with that permission is recorded as excused and does not count toward the limit in paragraph (e), but it is still a missed day for the requirement in paragraph (d), because the teaching time is genuinely missed.

(d) The requirement. You must attend at least 90% of the live online class days. On a course of 24 days, that means missing no more than 2, whether excused or not. Falling below 90% means you have not met the attendance requirement for the certificate or for placement.

(e) Pause. If your unexcused absences reach three (3):

  • your enrolment is paused and you become ineligible to continue on your current batch;
  • your access to the student portal becomes read-only: you will still be able to log in and see your records, but not attend sessions, access materials or take assessments; and
  • you must meet the management and obtain written permission before your enrolment and access are restored.

We will warn you in writing as your absences accumulate, and you will be asked to acknowledge the warning at two absences. Reaching this limit does not terminate your enrolment; it pauses your participation pending that meeting.

(f) Cancelled sessions. Sessions we cancel, and published holidays, are not counted against you.

(g) Corrections. If you believe an attendance record is wrong, raise it with your trainer within 7 days. Corrections are recorded with the reason and the person who made them.

5. Conduct

You agree to behave professionally toward trainers, staff and fellow students; to follow all safety instructions at all times; not to damage or misuse equipment or accounts; not to attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs; and not to engage in harassment or discrimination of any kind.

Live online classes are a classroom: be on time, attend from a quiet place, keep your microphone muted unless you are speaking, and do not record, share or stream the class. We may remove you from a session, or from the course, for conduct that disrupts it.

6. Academic integrity

Tests and assessments must be your own work. Impersonation, copying, use of unauthorised materials, sharing assessment content, or falsifying attendance (including checking in for another student, or asking another student to check in for you) are serious breaches. Consequences range from the assessment being annulled to termination of enrolment.

7. Course materials and intellectual property

All course materials: including recordings, presentations, documents, question banks and software configurations: remain the intellectual property of EDWartens or its licensors. They are provided for your personal study only. You may not record, copy, publish, resell or share them. Third-party software used during the course is subject to its own licence, and it is your responsibility to comply with it.

8. Certification

The EDWartens EPGDIA Course Certificate is issued on satisfactory completion, which requires meeting the attendance requirement in section 4, passing every weekly test and the final exam, and clearing all dues. Each certificate carries a unique number and is verifiable at https://edwartens.co.in/verification. We may revoke a certificate obtained through misrepresentation or a breach of section 6.

EPGDIA is an EDWartens course and its certificate is an EDWartens credential. It is not a university degree, and it is not a UGC- or AICTE-recognised qualification or a vendor certification.

9. Job assurance (placement support)

EPGDIA is a job-assured programme, conditions apply. From the week after you finish, the placement team shares your CV and arranges interviews, and keeps doing so until you receive an offer letter from an employer. To stay eligible you attend at least 90% of the live online class days, pass the final exam, complete the self-study modules, attend every interview arranged for you, and apply to at least five jobs a week. The job assurance is this placement support; it is not a refund. The full terms are published at edwartens.co.in/epgdia-terms.

  • What counts as an offer. An offer letter from an employer, issued to you in writing, counts as an offer. Placement support ends when you receive one, whether it came through us or not, and whether or not you accept it.
  • How long it lasts. There is no time limit: placement support continues until you receive an offer letter, for as long as you keep meeting the conditions above.
  • What it is. The job assurance is this placement support: sharing your CV and arranging interviews. It is not a refund, and no part of the fee is repaid if you are not placed.
  • Conditions. If you stop meeting a condition, for example by missing an interview arranged for you or not applying to five jobs in a week, you are no longer eligible for placement support.

The Placement Policy and Job Guarantee of the Automation Engineer Program does not apply to EPGDIA.

10. Suspension, withdrawal and termination

  • You may withdraw at any time by written notice. Whether any part of the fee is refunded is as set out in section 3.
  • We may pause your participation under section 4(e), or terminate your enrolment for a serious breach of sections 5 or 6, or for non-payment.
  • Where we terminate for breach, your eligibility for placement support ends.

11. Photography and media

We may photograph or record sessions for training, quality and promotional purposes. Your consent to promotional use is sought separately and may be withdrawn at any time by writing to info@wartens.com.

12. Liability

We deliver the course with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Save for the placement support in section 9, we do not guarantee any particular employment outcome, salary or employer.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version you signed is recorded against your account and continues to govern your enrolment unless you agree to a new version. Where a change is material we will ask you to review and sign the updated version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Bangalore, Karnataka, India have exclusive jurisdiction.
