What you can do
The blanks (___) are yours to fill with real numbers. A made-up number falls apart in the first interview question; a real one wins the second interview.

The one-page structure that works
Top to bottom, in this order.
- 1
Header
Name, phone, email, city, LinkedIn. No photo, no date of birth, no full address: Indian recruiters do not need them and ATS software chokes on them.
- 2
Summary
Two to three lines: the role you want, the tools you run, one concrete outcome. Written last, placed first.
- 3
Skills
A plain list the ATS can read: PLC brands with software names, SCADA packages, drives, protocols. No skill bars, no ratings out of five.
- 4
Projects / Experience
Three to five bullets each, verb first, one number per bullet where you honestly have one. For freshers, training projects ARE experience when written as work.
- 5
Education & certificates
Degree, year, institute. Certificates only if verifiable. This section goes last because it is the least surprising thing about you.
What gets automation resumes rejected
A two-page resume for a two-year career
One page until you have five years of work. Recruiters spend under thirty seconds on the first pass.
'Responsible for PLC maintenance'
Responsibility is not action. What did you fix, program or commission, and what changed because you did?
Skill bars showing '80% Siemens'
Nobody knows what 80% of Siemens is, and ATS software reads it as nothing. Write the brand and the software name.
One resume for every application
Reorder your skills and bullets to match each posting's words. The ATS is matching text, so give it the text.
