Free PLC course with a certificate in India

Yes. EDWartens has 32 PLC programming courses, out of 222 free courses in all, that cost ₹0 to learn: every lesson, note, practice task and the final assessment, with no card and no trial period. The certificate is the only paid part and it is optional: ₹499 (beginner), ₹599 (intermediate) or ₹999 (advanced), including GST, by course level. It is issued only after you pass the final assessment (15 questions, pass mark 60%, 3 attempts), and anyone can check it at edwartens.co.in/verification. It is an EDWartens certificate of completion, not a Siemens, Rockwell or other vendor credential.

What is free and what costs money

  • Free: all lessons (credited creator videos), written notes, practice tasks, and the final assessment.
  • Paid and optional: the Certificate of Completion, ₹499 (beginner), ₹599 (intermediate) or ₹999 (advanced), including GST. Learners outside India pay in US dollars; this page is about the rupee price.
  • Not included: hardware. The courses run in vendor trial software and simulators, so you do not need to buy a PLC.
  • Not a vendor credential: Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi and others run their own paid certifications, which are separate.

How the options compare, by kind

The table compares kinds of free and paid PLC learning in India by what each gives you. It names no price for any other institute, because those change and we have not verified them.

Which course to start with

Start with Siemens TIA Portal if you have no preference: it assumes nothing and runs entirely in simulation. Take Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 next, or first if the plants you want to work in run Rockwell. Both are on the free PLC page below.

After the free course

Two free next steps: the free PLC Programming Internship (4 weeks, online, with a free verifiable certificate of completion) and the free 3D lab. If you want a trainer and real hardware, the classroom Automation Engineer Program (AEP) runs in Electronic City, Bangalore, for 3 to 12 months; its fee is ₹71,000 + 18% GST (₹83,780 in all). A course does not guarantee a job, and nothing on this page says it does.

Questions

Quick answers

Is there a free PLC course with a certificate in India?

Yes. On EDWartens you learn 32 PLC courses free. The certificate is optional and costs ₹499 (beginner), ₹599 (intermediate) or ₹999 (advanced), including GST; it is issued only after you pass the final assessment.

How much does the certificate cost in India?

₹499 for a beginner course, ₹599 for intermediate and ₹999 for advanced, including GST. Learners in India pay in rupees.

Is the certificate valid for jobs?

It is a verifiable EDWartens certificate of completion that shows you finished a course and passed its final assessment. We do not claim any employer must accept it, and it is not a vendor certification. The program you wrote and can explain matters more.

Do I need a PLC or any hardware?

No. The courses use the vendor's free or trial software and simulators, for example Siemens S7-PLCSIM, so you can practise on a laptop.

How hard is the final assessment?

One assessment per course: 15 questions drawn from every module, 60 minutes, pass mark 60%, 3 attempts, then a 24 hour wait and a fresh paper.

Who made the videos?

Independent creators on YouTube, named in the credits of each course page. EDWartens wrote the study plan, notes, practice tasks and assessments.
