Why learn Allen-Bradley after Siemens?
Siemens and Allen-Bradley are the two PLC brands the AEP teaches in depth. They solve the same problems in different ways: different software, different ways of organising a program and its tags, different operator-screen tools. An engineer who has built a project in both can open either kind of project at a plant.
The Allen-Bradley phase starts with seven Studio 5000 sessions, from timers and counters to advanced instructions. Three FactoryTalk View sessions follow, then a system integration session with a full SCADA project, and the phase closes with RSLogix 500, MicroLogix, Connected Components Workbench and LogixPro. It ends with the Allen-Bradley exam (theory and practical).

Studio 5000 Logix Designer is Rockwell Automation's software for its Logix family of Allen-Bradley controllers, such as ControlLogix and CompactLogix. Older SLC 500 and MicroLogix controllers are programmed in RSLogix 500, and the phase ends with two RSLogix 500 sessions. Operator screens are built in FactoryTalk View: three sessions, then a system integration session that puts the PLC program, the screens and the network into one SCADA project.

Rockwell Automation's own training
Rockwell Automation, which owns the Allen-Bradley brand, runs its own training and certification (see Rockwell Automation India). EDWartens is not a Rockwell Automation training partner and issues no Rockwell certificate. The AEP teaches Allen-Bradley PLC programming inside a longer classroom programme and ends with an experience certificate describing the project work you did.

Studio 5000 Logix Designer is Rockwell Automation's software for its Logix controllers, such as ControlLogix and CompactLogix. RSLogix 500 programs the older SLC 500 and MicroLogix controllers, which many plants still run. The AEP teaches Studio 5000 first, then RSLogix 500 with MicroLogix, and Connected Components Workbench, which is used for Micro800 controllers.
The AEP teaches both, in depth: Siemens first, then Allen-Bradley. Both are widely used, and plants differ in which they run, so an engineer who can open either kind of project has more roles to apply for.
