How do I delete my account or my data?

The short answer

In Settings, open Privacy and data. Download your data as one file, or delete your account with your password. If you are on a paid programme, the office closes the account for you.

Delete your account

Settings

  1. Click Privacy and data
  2. Click Delete account
  3. Click Password and DELETE
  4. Click Delete my account permanently

Your account is gone for good

Open Settings, then Privacy and data.

Download your data

Choose Download my data (JSON). You get one file with your account details, courses and progress, assessment results, certificates, orders, CV, cover letters and learning plan.

Delete your account

If you take free courses only:

  1. Download anything you want to keep first, such as a certificate or a receipt.
  2. Choose Delete account.
  3. Enter your password and type DELETE.
  4. Choose Delete my account permanently.

This cannot be undone. It removes your enrolments, progress, notes, results and projects; any certificates issued to you, which then no longer verify; and your orders, receipts, CV, job applications and referrals.

If you are on a paid programme, your enrolment includes fee and invoice records we must keep, so there is no delete button for you. The EDWartens office closes the account: ask through Support or your admissions contact.

You can also email info@wartens.com with "Privacy" in the subject, from the address on your account. Records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records, stay. See the privacy policy.

Before and after

  1. Before

Download my data, and any certificate or receipt

  2. Delete

    Password, type DELETE, confirm

  3. After

Certificates no longer verify; nothing can be restored

Open Settings

Our team does this for you

On a paid programme the office closes the account, because fee and invoice records must be kept.
