How do I build a resume and cover letters?
The short answer
Use Resume Builder and Cover Letters in the Career menu. Start from the draft built from your course record or upload your own, edit it beside a live A4 preview, then export a PDF.
From draft to PDF
1Start
Upload yours, or use the draft
2Work through the sections
3Finish
Fix what is flagged, tailor to a job
4Export the PDF
Both tools are in the Career group of your portal menu.
Resume Builder
- Open Resume Builder and either upload the resume you have (PDF or Word; we read it and sort it into sections, and you check the result) or start from the draft built from your course record.
- Work through the sections with the assistant beside you. The A4 page on the right is exactly what exports.
- At the Finish step, see what still needs fixing, tailor it to a job advert, and export the PDF.
Your courses and certificates are ready to add.
Cover Letters
Open Cover Letters to write one, or choose the envelope on a role in Openings to start a letter for that job. Letters save as you type, and you can export them as a PDF.
